HISTORY

Pascal Derville launched the French project after having met Gregor Hackmack & Boris Heckele in Hambourg in June 2012. He gathered a team of 10 volunteers & implemented a sponsorship committee during the 2nd semester 2012.

Questionnezvoselus.org was launched in May 2013 & questionnezvoscandidats.org in November 2013.

OUR VISION

An empowered society

OUR MISSION

To promote democracy through 2 independent websites to ensure transparency and accountability in politics & reinforce dialogue between citizens & their representatives

KEY FIGURES

1381 representatives on the platform (77 European deputies, 577 national deputies, 348 senators, 27 presidents of regions, 102 presidents of departments, 250 mayors)

10000 questions & 3900 answers in September 2015 (answer rate : 39%)

KEY POINTS OF THE PROJECT

1- User friendly website : in 2 clicks, citizens can identify their representatives or candidates & ask them a question

2- Moderation : moderation rules are key to guarantee respectful, understandable & non-redundant questions

3- Media partnerships : we have developed various widgets which are implemented by our media partners to create dialogue between citizens & representatives. Those media partnerships are key to reach all citizens & convince representatives to answer.

HYBRID BUSINESS MODEL

Our association is only financed by citizen donations. Two crowdfunding were organized in 2013 & 2014.

Because of the platform success, decision was taken to employ one person full time in 2015 since the 100% probono model was not sufficient to assume moderation, implement our new ideas & develop new media partnerships.
We are currently working on a « whitebrand » project to reinforce dialogue between French associations & their donators and between mutualist organisations & their members.
